Mohini X. Katyayani is a woman in STEM turned author, critic, and DEI consultant in the entertainment and publishing industries. Her writings have been featured in BuzzFeed, ColorBloq, Medium, MetroUK, Paper, and X Marks The Spot, an anthology on non-binary identity edited by Theo Hendrie. Sparking conversations on cultural competency, decolonisation, economic responsibility, gender, and social justice, engaging audiences worldwide.
Katyayani is also the founder of Off Colour– a global non-profit collective empowering BIPOC to influence the media landscape through commentary, critique, and consultation. She has interviewed acclaimed figures, including Academy Award-winning filmmaker and Pixar’s VP of Creative Domee Shi and Rebecca F. Kuang, the New York Times Bestselling author of The Poppy War trilogy and Babel.
As a consultant, she has collaborated with best-selling authors, independent creatives, industry leaders like Isla Olsen and Nisha Sharma, and companies like HarperCollins and the Walt Disney Company.
